Last Friday of every month, 6pm to 10pm, gallery open for browsing, if you want a place on one of the screenings or talks you will need to book.
If you missed the popular outdoor theatre performances of four notorious witch trials at various venues around Scarborough in the summer, now’s your chance to see them again – under cover.
The four short shows will be performed from 7pm on 28 September as part of the final Friday Lates event, when the gallery will be open from 6pm to 10pm. Visitors can grab a last chance to view the current exhibition, Fears, Foes & Faeries, which closes on Sunday 30 September, see the witch trials, and take part in craft activities.
Local theatre group Irresponsible Decorators devised the four short shows in conjunction with Scarborough Museums Trust staff to tie in with Fears, Foes & Faeries, which features artefacts from British folklore, including many charms and amulets believed to ward off witches.
