Paul Robinson, A to B and Back Again

Following on from last year's sell out shows 'Brief Encounters' and 'Winter Wonderland' we are extremely pleased to yet again be holding a solo exhibition of Paul Robinson's unique and charming way of capturing the nostalgic everyday life of people (and animals) going about their business. This years much anticipated show titled 'A to B and Back Again' starts on the 7th April 2012. It features around 40 new paintings both on canvas and board, many of them with Paul's lovingly amusing titles. This year Paul's observations are of Norfolk life, the hustle and bustle of market towns, villagers gossiping on the street corner, lovers meeting in the afternoon and fishermen being waved off to sea by their wives. This show brings some wonderful animals into the mix, a trip to the zoo being Paul's inspiration, we see giraffes, lions and even flamingos taking their place in these wonderful paintings. Domestic animals don't get left behind either, cats on pink chairs staring out of the window and dogs having their patience tested by their owners. Each painting in this colourful show has its own narrative, but in many cases this narrative can be entirely different to each individual viewer, what each and every one does though is to bring a smile to your face, and that's even before you get to its title ! With Paul's national and international collector base growing at a phenomenal rate his work is becoming more and more sought after.
