As many of your are aware the gallery first started out life as the Seascape Gallery — although we didn't specialise in this area. Now after nearly five years since the formation of the gallery the directors are delighted to be staging its first ever Seascape Exhibition entitled 'A Passion For The Sea'. The exhibition brings together some of the finest seascape painters in Britain. We have sent them far and wide around the British Isles so that the show exhibits some of the most stunning seascapes of the diverse coastline. We gave them the brief to 'find a beautiful inspirational space involving the coastline around the United Kingdom, and paint it.' The six artists featured in this exhibition have excelled with their instruction and the works include the ruggedness and tranquility which is so typical of the coastline and the amazing colours which are only captured en plein air.
