About

Created as a result of his residency at St. John's College, University of Oxford during 2011, Jordan Baseman presents two new works that celebrate the collision of representation and abstraction, fact and fiction. Green Lady is an experimental film presenting abstracted images syncopated to the voice of an anonymous narrator. We hear an emotive account of the loss of a loved one, tales of the mysterious ‘Green Lady', and thoughts on the Afterlife and the paranormal. 1973 is an artist's publication documenting interviews with the cultural commentators Pamela Church Gibson, Jonathan Griffin and Trish Lyons, sharing their experiences and thoughts in response to Green Lady. Green Lady (30 mins). Screened daily at: 12.15pm, 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm, and 3.15pm. Copies of the 1973 publication will be free for visitors to take away. 1973 is published by Matt's Gallery, London and supported by Arts Council England
