WHEN: Saturday 28th April 2012, 10:30-16:30 WHERE: ]performance s p a c e[, 6 Hamlet Industrial Estate, White Post Lane, London E9 5EN COST: £10/£8 (NWN Members) - tea / coffee / biscuits provided TO BOOK: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1849737615 ‘Dialogue is a way of observing, collectively, how hidden values and intentions can control our behavior. It can be seen as an arena in which collective learning takes place and out of which a sense of increased harmony, fellowship and creativity can arise.' Facilitated by Hester Reeve, participants will be introduced to the unique possibilities that Bohmian Dialogue offers in terms of reconsidering our relationship to thought, creativity and its processes as well as having the opportunity to explore the process of ‘thinking together' with no predefined purpose or agenda. David Bohm was a world-renowned physicist and philosopher who, late in his career, dedicated himself to the development of a theory on Dialogue employing collective and creative thought as a suggested method by which to combat societal fracturing. His approach involved participants working together to understand the assumptions underlying their individual and collective beliefs. It is regularly employed in a series of situations including conflict resolution and penal contexts. ‘I was interested in the meta-narrative; the dynamic of the group; and my own role in it. It was illuminating.' Sue Ball Only 30 places available so please book early at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1849737615 For further enquires contact: info@newworknetwork.org.uk
