Trout Fishing in America

About

The Brautigan Book Club isn't a normal book club. Instead it's a creative society inspired by the American Beat writer and counterculture icon, Richard Brautigan. The Brautigan Book Club will meet on the 27th March and will centre around what is probably Brautigan's most well known and widely available book, Trout Fishing in America. The guest speaker, writer and illustrator Fuchsia Voremberg, will be making a mysterious presentation about what she calls her ‘Kool-Aid Conspiracy Theory'. stephenmcaines will perform new live music and other delights are being cooked up. The club is free and open to all. Founded by theatre company saltpeter as part of its role as an artistic hub, The Brautigan Book Club will meet monthly throughout 2012 to explore Brautigan's novels. While we're based in London, fellow Brautiganites will be able to join us via our website, and are encouraged to launch their own satellite events.
