About

theprintspace gallery is excited to invite you to Underground, a group show exhibiting exceptional works by photographers Dylan Thomas, David Solomons and Gesche Würfel. The concept of the show is in its name — all of the exhibited images were taken underground, be it in basements, cellars, or on the tube. Underground reveals the photographers' view on what lies beneath. David Solomons uses colour with a flash to illuminate the dark interiors of one of the oldest urban networks - the London underground. Gesche Würfel explores how superintendents decorate their work and living spaces in the basements of apartment buildings in New York. And Dylan Thomas depicts inanimate objects in unrecognisable and unfamiliar spaces. His series ‘Crash' leads the viewer to question, not only what the object is, but also as to where the space is. Opening night: Thursday 1st March, 7pm-9.30pm The exhibition will run from Friday 2nd March until Wednesday, 21st March 2012, at theprintspace gallery on 74 Kingsland Road. The opening night will be on Thursday 1st March from 7pm-9.30pm and refreshments will be provided. Admission is free! We look forward to seeing you there! theprintspace team
