Anatomy, Mechanics, Science, Faith and Mankind are just a few of the themes hidden within Paul Richards' new show at the Link Gallery. "Running to Meet the Maker" brings together not only his more acknowledged works on paper, produced with mind-boggling complexity but also a move towards the third dimension. These new sculptures are a viewpoint into his fascination with not just the human body but also that of animals and he takes great care in trying to recreate these using purely found materials, broken down machinery and reclaimed wood. alongside these are illustrations produced within the last year for both commercial and personal projects that give an indication into Pauls' strong affinity with technical drawing and obsessive detailing. Running from the 5th of March to the 9th of April, the Link Gallery is situated on the University's West Downs Campus and the Private View will take place on Saturday 10th March at 6pm.
