About

31 renowned musicians from across the globe have united for a unique, charitable photography project, which will help raise vital funds to support creative community centres for underprivileged children in one of the worldàŠ¼s most deprived corners. A creative challenge set by acclaimed portrait and reportage photographer, Matt Humphrey, the 31thirtyone// photography project for the African Workshop, in association with Puma, has captured 31 musicians in a variety of settings from backstage to private homes and studios, around the UK and abroad. The exhibition of resulting images and charity auction will launch on Tuesday 10th January 2012 at The Strand Gallery, London. Proceeds raised through the concurrent physical and online exhibitions will help raise funds for The African Workshop. In addition to online print sales, there will be a silent auction of limited edition signed, framed prints of each of the artists.
