Artificial Beauty

About

A contemporary painting exhibition by Emma Cahill. Exploring the ongoing relationship of photography in painting, the exhibition sets to remove the aura of the brushstroke created by the artist. The pieces are set behind malleable plastic or Cast acrylic sheet, with the paintings existing solely on the reverse of the surface. Presenting a magnitude of colour beautiful to the eye, this exhibition highlights the return of aesthetic colour to contemporary painting, but with a material twist. Emma Cahill is currently studying BA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art & Design London. The exhibition runs from 17th January- 18th January 2012 : Preview 17th January 6-9pm. The Gallery on the corner, 155 Battersea Park Road, London, SW8 4BU. (Nearest rail: Battersea Park Rail, or Queenstown Road, Battersea) All works for Sale.
