Recent works by Caroline Hall
The Granary Art Gallery will welcome Winchester based artist Caroline Hall for a selling exhibition of her recent works throughout April.
Many of Caroline’s paintings represent landscapes and the passing of time, showing a particular moment glimpsed at speed. Caroline builds up her images with layers of paint over days and weeks, experimenting with different colours on canvas and aluminium.
The exhibition will feature paintings from her ‘Passing’ series, showing moving landscapes from different seasonal times of the year.
A selection of works from her ‘Pixels Paused’ suite will also be on display, each work showing a paused setting in time, depicted as separate overlapping blocks of colour.
Caroline achieved a First Class Honours in her Visual Art Degree and then went on to study her Masters in Painting at Winchester School of Art and Design. Since studying she has been represented by London artist specialists degreeArt.com, she held her third solo exhibition in London during the early part of 2011 and she was shortlisted for the Threadneedle prize.
Caroline Hall in the Granary Art Gallery will run throughout April.
