Resolution! 2012: Scope Dance Theatre + Erik Nevin + Nutshell Dance

Resolution! is The Place's annual, new year open season for shorter dance works. Throughout January and February, Resolution 2012 will host nightly-changing triple bills presenting new dance for the new year.

Scope Dance Theatre, Velocity
Scope blends hip-hop dance theatre with contemporary dance. Using the vocal percussion of beatboxing, Velocity explores the physics of movement combined with the physics of sound, forming an organic and inseparable whole.

Erik Nevin, From The Forest
This work is an exploration of the self, a desire to create a moment of stillness and space. This is an intimate and honest sharing between performer and spectator.

Nutshell dance, People in Transit
Using Makaton to communicate, dancers negotiate their way through the city commute with live music from Exquisite Corpse. People In Transit is inspired by the interaction between people and public spaces.
