Resolution! 2012: Gwyn Emberton Dance + Lîla Dance + Victor Fung Dance

Resolution! is The Place's annual, new year open season for shorter dance works. Throughout January and February, Resolution 2012 will host nightly-changing triple bills presenting new dance for the new year.

Gwyn Emberton Dance, The Seamless Art of Being
Reflecting on the subtexts and relationships of the play La Ronde, two dancers negotiate the space and each other. Expect a beautifully crafted dance and score, sumptuous lights and projection.

Lîla Dance, A Readiness
In trainers and in anticipation, two women arrive at a place to engage in a game of nerve. The relationship between them is uncertain, because the game too is uncertain.

Victor Fung Dance, Positively Phototactic
Using the affinity that organisms show towards light as a departure point, Positively Phototactic explores the nature of human desire and the never-ending quest for fulfillment.
