Eyal Sivan has directed more than 10 political documentaries and produced many others. His cinematographic body of work has been shown and awarded various prizes in prestigious international festivals. Currently, Sivan is an associate professor in media production and co-leads the MA program in Film, video and new media at the school of Humanities and social sciences, at the University of East London. He will screen and discuss his new film, Jaffa: The Orange’s Clockwork, which uses archival material and interviews to excavate the entwined visual and political history of that famous citrus fruit.
