Dance Umbrella - Lachambre / Lecavalier/ Goldring/ Rowe: Is You Me

Is You Me is a highly inventive work and the second collaboration for Benoît Lachambre and Louise Lecavalier, an icon of contemporary dance and former star of La la la Human Steps.

Lecavalier fans will be surprised to see her in a very different context alongside co-creators, video artist Laurent Goldring and New York composer Hahn Rowe.

The artists perform on an all-white stage in the midst of Goldring’s kinetic, colourful and riotous tableau of live drawings and projections that make for a fascinating visual feast. Rowe’s masterful soundscapes, which combine with live instrumentals, are performed on stage and sumptuously unite the often frenetic scenes. Is You Me belies all categorisation and the remarkable integration of its various elements takes the audience on a startling and enriching adventure from start to finish.
