An evening of film screenings responding to the stylistic and formal devices in the practice of current artist in residence Mauro Guzmán.
In his films, Guzmán collects and reworks cultural fragments ranging from European and American classical cinema to Latin American TV shows. Alongside two of Guzmán's recent works, Gasworks Residencies Coordinator Rowan Geddis introduces a selection of short films by artists who re-contextualise mainstream entertainment and classical culture.
