Artists Julie Brenot, Jackie Chettur, Elena Cologni, Mark Essen, Farrago, Katherine Hymers, Hayley Lock, Wayne McDermott, Kate Owens, Phil Root, Solveig Settemsdal, Hilary Koob-Sassen, Helen Stratford, Caroline Wendling and Caroline Wright will all be opening their studios. In the Gallery there will be a new work devised by curator Paul Pieroni in collaboration with artists-in-residence Mark Essen, Hilary Koob-Sassen, Kate Owens and Damien Roach. Pieroni has invited poet, sound and visual artist Lawrence Upton and violist and composer Benedict Taylor to interpret specific works by the artists. The gallery presentation will include a video projection, resulting from this unique collaboration, alongside the works themselves. Wysing's 11 acre site will be open to enjoy, and includes a number of semi-permanent sculptures. Plus there will be free family activity and cream teas by Café Abantu. We look forward to seeing you!
