Permalink » Press Release Heptalogy is an exhibition of paintings and drawings by seven young artists living and working in Brighton. These seven artists represent a rich variety of style and genre and have chosen to present work which encapsulates their very individual take on painting and its processes. Each of the seven shares a passion for painting and a firm belief in its relevance to understanding our lives in these early years of the 21st century. Heptalogy is made up of paintings from seven artists with seven points of view, seven different working methods and seven ideas of what painting can be. The seven artists are Martin Brett, Sophie Dickson, Sean Gill, Max Gimson, Yunji Jang, Jo Maybey and Carmel Pia.
