If the Invader Comes: Dan Dubowitz and Fearghus à â€œ Conchà ºir

About

An exciting new exhibition will be unveiled at Jaywick Martello Tower as two contemporary artists bring their inspiration to the East Anglian coast. ‘If The Invader Comes' is a collaboration by photographer Dan Dubowitz and choreographer Fearghus à â€œ Conchà ºir that looks to link the Martello towers up and down the Essex and Suffolk coastline and consider the role these buildings can occupy today. The exhibition comprises a film installation of three screens on the theme of vigilance and control. This is the second part of the exhibition 'Tattered Outlaws of History', which was originally commissioned by Fingal County Council. ‘If the Invader Comes' is the final commission from the ‘Fleet: Art in the Haven Ports' programme. The two exhibitions will run in dialogue from 11th June to 21st August.
