Exploring the roots of Heavy Metal music in the Black Country, works feature vintage t-shirts, archival imagery and films. To celebrate thirty years of Grindcore music a new commission of a sound installation will be on display, created by a founding member of the band Napalm Death, Nic Bullen and critically acclaimed international artist Damien Deroubaix.

A dramatic display of Wolverhampton’s own paintings and prints will also be on show, inspired by the Black Country’s dark industrial landscapes.

The exhibition is part of the Home of Metal festival of music and arts events devoted to celebrating the Black Country region as the home of Heavy Metal music
