About

This exhibition represents the current resurgence of interest in painting amongst a new generation of artists. Painting - combines the work of four talented young contemporaries, each producing dynamic and compelling pieces driven by the action of painting and materiality of paint itself.

Whilst often declared dead, painting continues to endure the test of time. James Bowyer, Georgina Amos, Rory McCartney and Ha Young Kim explore painting as material, subject and practice. Viewed together, they make a compelling case for the revival of painting in contemporary culture.
