About

Surface is proud to introduce Surface Shorts, an exhibition of contemporary video work featuring over 20 international emerging film makers, artists and animators. The Gallery will be transformed into a screening space showing a selection of contemporary video works from 14th - 27th April. Featuring narrative, documentary, performance, installation, animation and music video this diversely curated exhibition programme aims to playfully investigate the spectrum of the moving image medium. Filmmakers hail from across the U.K and as far afield as South Korea, Russia, Greece, India, Ireland and the U.S.A. The exhibition is open daily Tuesday to Saturday over the two week period. With a special screening evening taking place on Thursday 21st April, where we'll be inviting a selection of the participating artists to reveal more about their video practice followed by a feature screening.
