To receive operational reconnaissance data, the army's general staff decides to use it for filming the enemy fortifications from air. A former photographer, soldier Andrei Nekrasov is assigned to be a cameraman. With Ivan Karyakin as his mate, he sets about carrying out the operation. They could not even imagine what amazing experiences, both dramatic and hilarious, they would have to go through… The film features some of the best and most loved Soviet actors: Oleg Yankovsky, Rolan Bykov, Anatoly Papanov, Vladimir Vysotsky.
