Unheimlich'- the opposite of 'heimlich' ['homely'], 'heimisch'
['native'] the opposite of what is familiar’ (Sigmund Freud).
Intrigued yet weary of the ‘uncanny’, we are left in an uncomfortable state of liminality.
With our desire to explore this simultaneous confliction, spontaneous activity challenges our otherwise considered decisions influenced by that we see ‘safe’.
Embracing our impulse leaves us open to experiencing the absurd while engaging with the ‘everyday’.
