Excavation: Jason Smith

Jason Smith has recently been artist in residence in a large studio group based in Milton Keynes where he has been using new and explorative techniques in drawing and sculpture, in a crossbreeding nature. His new works push the theme of 'excavation' in that each work tells a short story which bears relation to the under-structures of moment and the subterranean world of the mind. The main explorative nature of the works suggests new and old structures placed in a limitless environment and have new possibilities within the materials that they are constructed from.
