About
CCA presents a three-day seminar of workshops, talks and screenings examining the overlapping themes of Farocki's expansive practice, focusing respectively on the imagery of war, the imagery of society and the imagery of mediation. Each day will be led by a number of artists and academics from across disciplines, and will feature presentations and lectures from a number of invited guests. These include: Richard Braxstrom, Lecturer in Social Anthropology, University of Edinburgh; Rob Kennedy, Artist and Filmmaker and Greg Philo, Research Director at Glasgow University Media Unit.
Following these events the CCA galleries will host a three-week exhibition presenting an archive of works from across the artist's career as well as some of his key installation pieces.
This event has been made possible with the assistance of the Goethe Institut, Glasgow.
