'Open Up Your Eyes and Say Hello' video screening

About

Curated by New York-based performance and video artist Allison Wall 'Open Up Your Eyes and Say Hello' is an exciting portal into the ideas at the core of PHYSICAL CENTER's underpinnings. Sexuality and its inherent confusion is an ever-present query in relation to our physical body. From the failure of its aspirations to the conflicting morality of its austere behaviour this screening is an exploration of sex's greater questions and implications. The screening will survey a diversity of films relevant to this theme from the decidedly influential avant-garde films of George Kuchar's Hold Me While I'm Naked to the exciting contemporary works of Rebecca Parks Ramage with her film Hall Dance (Woman Alone). This is also an opportunity to see films by distinguished artists such as Valie Export and Jack Smith that are otherwise rarely available to the public.
