About

CLUSTERBOMB showcase new work of five figurative artists, John Brown, Alex Gibbs, Jamie Kinroy, Bobby Nixon and and Matt Swan, who share a similar concern for the excessive clustering of imagery, a predilection for information overload and a penchant for extreme cut n' paste. CLUSTERBOMB explodes conservative image making in favour of the aesthetics of maximilism. CLUSTERBOMB will cluster the everyday into new shapes, forms, meanings and landscapes. Clusterbomb will cluster: Cars, buildings, trees, plants, people, insects, faces, celebrities, fast food, supermarkets, puddings, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, dustbins, spirits, shopping trolleys, taxi-cabs, logos, cream eggs, DVDs, farm animals, weeds, pencils, pens, permanent markers, video-games, milk, airports, motorways, cigarettes, set squares, soda-pop, cakes, brains, monster trucks, diners, basketballs, curly-wurlies, double deckers, double decker buses, screwdrivers, sand, croissants, coke cans, foliage, hook-worms, aircraft, spoons, telegraph poles, gloves, stamps, neon shop signs, paperwork, tomato ketchup, worms, nails, alarm clocks, grocery stores, peanut butter, concrete, diamonds, tarmac, hair, frying pans, tire treads, dinosaurs, aerosol cans, electric fences, hardware stores, processed cheese, motels, hotels, sea-birds, chips, plastic bottles, craters, fire engines, honey, necklaces, dog-shit, light bulbs, curtains, steam engines, four by fours, trousers, flyovers, electric razors, balloons, smoke, ring binders, cotton-wool, facial hair, fruit, teeth, videotapes, dinner plates, mouth wash, rats, beer-bottles, road signs, cats, fishing rods, oldsmobiles, chains, television sets, x-boxes, sieves, pots, ice-cream, paving stones, paint brushes, hiking boots, tea bags, Mars Bars, Snickers Bars, satellites, motorbikes, ice, fishfingers, drift wood, fire wood, socks, DVD players, margarine, rabbits, shoe-laces, cushions, stars, train tracks, lego, envelopes, maps, sea-shells, vegetables, wrist-watches, shovels, cigarette lighters, blu tack, telephone wires, baseball caps, staplers, man holes, tuxedos, wallets, bath-tubs, superheroes, burgers, trailers, broken glass, sticks, jam, poly-bags, books, CD's, brogues, handkerchiefs, glue, bridges, ladles, rocket ships, police cars, blenders, ladders, watch-towers, mustard, newspapers, drain pipes, gravel, ink, game-boys, baguettes, lighthouses, rings, beetles, Nintendo's, spiders, tea-cakes, clouds, toast, convertibles, charcoal, barbed wire, sweets, toilet paper, LED's, sweatshirts, action men, Stetson hats, cleaning products, dogs, cobblestones, back-alleys, watering cans, magazines, costumes, ash trays, fish, wall-paper, planets, corkscrews, condiments, snakes, fire escapes, chocolate, palette knives, skewers, lasers, olive oil, bones, coins, bills, porcelain, high heels, grass, night clubs, weapons, caramel wafers, erasers, screws, biscuit tins, furniture, maggots, fountain pens, gas-stations, sausages, boats, rubber bands, musical instruments, coffee, cowboy boots, ski-poles, mugs.
