Anytown explores artists' responses to the mundane urban environment ... paintings of soul-less towns ... photographs of anonymous mega-cities ... obsessive studies of a boring street. Including L. S. Lowry, Rachel Whiteread, Julian Opie, Freddie Robins, Elizabeth Barton, Violet Erenara, Len Dobson and many more. From documentary photography, to knitted houses; from Turner nominated Nathan Coley to engineering plans of motorway interchanges.
