Freud at the National Portrait Gallery: Michael Molnar

About

When Sigmund Freud visited London in 1908 he recorded his impressions of the paintings he saw at the National Portrait Gallery, from Shakespeare to Byron. Freud scholar Michael Molnar recounts the intriguing story of Freud's few days in London, including his trip to the National Portrait Gallery, through his letters and notes. Michael Molnar is a renowned writer, academic and former Freud Museum Director. This talk is part of a wide range of exciting events we have planned at the museum to coincide with the Objects in Mind exhibition which runs from 24 November 2010 - 27 February 2011.
