Rosa Barba: Selected Shorts Wed 8 Dec, 20:30 Cornerhouse, Manchester Coinciding with major exhibition ‘UnSpooling — Artists & Cinema,' this special screening of selected works by internationally renowned artist Rosa Barba reflects on her concerns with documentary, fiction, archaeology, architecture and dystopia. We are also pleased to bring Berlin-based Barba to Cornerhouse to introduce the screening in person and also for a post-screening discussion. Programme features: ‘The Empirical Effect' (2010), ‘Let me see it' (2009), ‘Outwardly from Earth's Center' (2007), ‘Waiting Grounds' (2007), ‘They Shine' (2007), ‘Its gonna happen' (2005), and ‘Panzano' (2000). Rosa Barba was born in Italy in 1972. She lives and works in Berlin. Her installations, sculptures and films are currently on show at Tate Modern (until 8 Jan 2011) and the Liverpool Biennial 2010 (until 28 Nov).
