About

Legendary Magnum photographer David Hurn has worked on almost every area of the profession. As a photojournalist he documented the Soviet invasion of Hungary, as an advertising photographer he worked on the photoshoots for films like James Bond and Barbarella, and he has forever portrayed Wales and its people in his series of books. In Passing Time, David Hurn makes use of his 55 year long career to bring to life the passage of time. With the ploy of pairing his early and late photographs, the exhibition allows us to follow David Hurn's interests in a world that has undergone a huge transformation since the 1950's. Passing Time is also a unique show as it has two different exhibitions, each with its own opening. The first exhibition brings you Passing Time as seen by David Hurn. The second one presents a new view of Passing Time born from handing the curation process to the public. David Hurn also makes use of this later occasion to give a talk that dwells into the depths of this project.
