The House of Fairy Tales: an exhibition of prints by contemporary artists

About

Explore a fairy tale treat, see one of the Harris Museum & Art Gallery's newest acquisitions on show for the first time. This special, limited-edition set of 22 prints has been created by leading contemporary artists for The House of Fairy Tales. Featured artists include Sir Peter Blake, Paula Rego, Fiona Banner, Matt Collishaw, Cornelia Parker and Rachel Whiteread. Each explores the dark myths, magic and morals surrounding fairy tales in their own very different ways. The House of Fairy Tales is a talented team of artists, performers, musicians, writers and other creative professionals. It was founded by writer, Deborah Curtis and artist, Gavin Turk in 2007 to provide exciting, playful learning experiences for children and families through the narrative framework of fairy tales. The House of Fairy Tales can be found providing creative fun at music festivals such as Glastonbury and Camp Bestival as well as museums and galleries across Britain.
