RART is a collective of artists who share an aim to push progressive artistic inventions and empower people through the medium of art. This event will be facilitated by artists Leanne Elliott and Ita Maude Wooller and is an experimental life drawing workshop that responds to the themes in the current exhibition. Participants will be invited to interact with the art works in situ and led on a journey through creation and annihilation of their own art works and their final metamorphosis.
The event takes place alongside the exhibition Adel Abdessemed: Silent Warriors. Silent Warriors is the first solo exhibition dedicated to the work of Adel Abdessemed in London. The exhibition is organised around two of Abdessemed’s major works, including Habibi, 2003, a 17-metre human skeleton made of fibreglass and a new installation entitled Silent Warrior, which comprises numerous colourful masks made from found tin cans.
