About

At 24 Lizzie Mary Cullen is a multi-award winning designer. After graduating from Goldsmiths Design 2008, she has exhibited internationally in London, New York and Paris. She has had a cover story profile in Design Week magazine as the next 'new design stars', interviewed in Computer Arts Magazine as one of the design world's up-and-coming new talents, and has also had features in Blueprint and Icon magazine and Computer Arts projects. She is also known to write for Design Week and Illustration Magazine. Her latest spread for Illustration magazine is just out for the Summer 2010 issue, as well as an exclusive interview for Digital Arts magazine on her work for Zizzi restaurants, also out this month. Her work has been featured in several 'coffee-table' books such as 'Beyond Architecture' by Gestalten Publishing and 'The Big Book of Contemporary Illustration' by Martin Dawber. She has also just finished editing her first illustrated children's book about a family of modern fairies living in London, which her agent is in the process of pitching to publishers, with good feedback. She is working on a national rebrand for Zizzi Italian restaurants, helping them revamp their 105 locations by drawing freehand wall murals which connect to the different local areas. She has also designed their national menus. She has recently finished her latest Zizzi feature wall in the heart of Covent Garden, London She works closely with her agent Phosphor Art, and some of her clients include MTV, Zizzi, Gestalten Publishing, Design Week and Tom Felton, star of the Harry Potter movies. She has been interviewed by Computer Arts magazine, and has also been featured in Blueprint magazine. After just one year in business, Lizzie has been exhibited internationally in London, New York and Paris. The large scale map ‘453 Bus route' has also been exhibited at the London Transport Museum, to critical acclaim. MTV are using ‘Chinatown, 2008' to promote their MTV Swatch Playground internationally with posters and postcards. Lizzie is also currently working on a major ‘debrand' campaign for Zizzi Italian Eateries, working on large scale feature walls. She is helping with their project to redesign 105 Zizzi locations, and is working on the national menus in March 2010. Upcoming Zizzi locations include Covent Garden, Newcaste and Maidstone.
