Join us for a launch of photographer Tessa Bunney’s new book Home Work, published by Dewi Lewis.

To accompany the launch Tessa Bunney will show a selection of her photographs and talk about the making of the work. There will also be an opportunity to ask Tessa questions, a book signing and a chance to view the current exhibition On Overgrown Paths by Ben Rivers, with a complimentary glass of wine.

Home Work explores ‘craft’ villages in and around Hanoi, Vietnam, which specialise in a single product or activity. Tessa Bunney spent two six-month periods visiting many of these villages. Interspersed with images from daily life in the rice fields and in the villages, these photographs depict ‘working from home’ in an unromanticised sense, where their subjects, mostly women, balance childcare with the routine work necessary for survival.

Free event. Booking advised.

Home Work is published by Dewi Lewis Publishing with support from Arts Council England and will be available to purchase on the evening at the special discounted price of 15.99 (normally 19.99)
