Installation based artists Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme work on this collaboration with music composer and MC boikutt, combining their different practices and interests in a joint performance, using sound, music, image and text. The result is an exploration of the collision between sound and video field recordings, archive material, vocals, breaks and soundscapes. The three Palestinian artists are being brought to Scotland to perform for the first time this August as part of Beyond Borders, a new international arts festival dedicated to showcasing the work of writers, intellectuals, artists and filmmakers who come from small nations around the world facing similar issues of conflict and cultural representation.
