Find out how Mitchell Taylor Workshop's proposal for a temporary use of the âcheese grater' development site (in the City of London's Leadenhall Street) offered an innovative and cost-effective solution for keeping a large, empty site vibrant. This exciting proposal could be adopted as a model for other disused sites across the UK.

Can fast food be healthy? How far can increased obesity be attributed to diet or sedentary lifestyle? How can the planning and design of the built environment influence how and what we eat when we're on the move?
Julia Ellis, director of MADE, presents key findings from âLessons to Take-Away' a conference on planning, health and fast food lifestyles with Alan Goodman, senior planner at Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
Julia Ellis said: Lessons to Take-Away on 30 June, is an agenda setting national conference with leading professionals and the latest research from planning, health and the food industry. Discussions centre on how the planning and design of places really can make us fat, particularly in relation to fast food lifestyles, young people and schools. This lunch box talk will be the first opportunity to hear about the outcomes of the conference and the lessons which delegates took away!"
