MY BIT offers a distinct view of Glasgow and explores the importance of place and identity for young people growing up in this city. This is a collaborative film project between Ankur Productions' PANGAA Young Company and film artist Lindsay Perth with choreography by Ruth Mills. PANGAA (‘chaos' in Punjabi) is a year-long ‘Inspire' funded project which invites young adults aged 14-26 largely, but not exclusively, from BME communities across Glasgow to engage in a broad range of Urban Arts. From DJ-ing to Street Dance, Martial Arts to Rapping, PANGAA will broaden the participants' horizons and encourage them to use these diverse forms of performance to creatively express issues that confront them as young adults.
