Sarah Kenchington, Music making workshops and Performance with the Horsebox Orchestra

About

Sarah Kenchington has an approach to music and intrument making, based upon accessibility, bypassing written music and focusing on exploration and experimentation. She performs with the Horsebox Orchestra, an interactive and semi-mechanical contraption made form adapted and invented instruments. Designed to allow the performer to play all the instruments at once, the Horsebox Orchstra expands the player's physical capacity and allows a hugely expnaded and unfamiliar range of sounds to be revealed. Featured as part of Brass: Durham International Festival. Plus on both mornings join Sarah for a music making workshops and learn how to make your own instrument using low-tech and recycled materials.
