This new exhibition shows a range of Chris Gollon's recent paintings, some of which will be featured in the forthcoming book 'CHRIS GOLLON: Humanity in Art' by Tamsin Pickeral (Hyde & Hughes), which will be published in May 2010. Signed copies of the book are available at the gallery, price £20. Copies may also be ordered from Amazon and all good bookshops.
The works in this exhibition include some of the latest monotypes which Chris Gollon produced in early 2010 at the Goldmark Atelier in Rutland. They show his many innovations, and the unusual use of 'positives' and solvents in the process. The process of making monotypes, a reverse process, Gollon also incorporates into his paintings and the exhibition shows how one art form can technically innovate another.
