moves10: Framing Motion launches its first anticipated Liverpool edition! The International Festival of Movement on Screen is the largest exhibition platform in the UK for short film and new media, hitting the North West region with over 30 stimulating screenings, 16 inspiring screen-based installations, 4 exciting interactive video performances, as well as engaging debates and workshops. Come join us on our opening night, where we will excitingly announce the winners of the much-sought after Alternative Routes Award and will continue the celebration into the evening with local VJ talents Sam Meech, Tristan Brady-Jacobs, Tom Smith and Dave Berger taking us on a stimulating audiovisual journey. During the festival enthralling interactive performances transform dreams into a distorted reality in the world premiere of ‘Sayat Nova Revisited' by Goran Vejvoda (France) and an audiovisual performance based on sine waves by Sonom (Spain) stimulatingly modifies the audience's spatio-temporal perception with the use holographic images. If you have not seen Sergei Paradjanov's cinematic master pieces or you are curious to meet internationally acclaimed Liverpool artist Gina Czarnecki, moves10 brings it all to you!
