About

The god of love held endless fascination for artists in 18th century France. Filled with tantalising images, the exhibition includes masterpieces of Rococo painting by Boucher, Watteau, Natoire and Lancret, sculpture by Falconet and a dazzling array of decorative arts, all drawn from The State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg. Also on display is a group of erotic engravings, collected in secret by Tsar Nicolas I.
