About

Following Chris Gollon's work and IAP Fine Art being featured by Alan Yentob on BBC1's ‘Imagine' programme focusing on Own Art in December 2009, IAP Fine Art has continued to support the Arts Council of England's excellent Own Art Scheme. This allows collectors to borrow up to £2,000 on interest-free credit over 10 months in order to pay for or part pay a work of art. Collectors of all income brackets have used the scheme to help start or build a collection. IAP Fine Art is now exhibiting until 10th April many works by two of the UK's most established artists: Chris Gollon and Maggi Hambling. Leading art historian Tamsin Pickeral is writing a book on Chris Gollon's work, which will be published in May 2010. Some of the works in the exhibition will also be featured in the forthcoming book ‘Chris Gollon: Humanity in Art' (http://www.iapfineart.com/Newsletter/# ). Chris Gollon is an established name in British painting. Further details on the artist are here: http://www.iapfineart.com/Chris_Gollon/index.html Maggi Hambling is a household name in British art, and was First Artist in Residence at the National Gallery. She was made a CBE in this year's New Year's Honours list, and has enjoyed many museum acquisitions and public commissions. IAP Fine Art publishes her prints, including ‘George Melly singing' and ‘Portrait of Derek Jarman'. IAP Fine Art is showing a wide range of Hambling's work, from watercolours to oils, monotypes and silk-screen prints. Further details on the artist may be found here: http://www.iapfineart.com/Maggi_Hambling/
