About

With professor Jacqueline Rose and students activists from the London institute and Goldsmith Throughout February 2010, Ashery and Sansour will present Falafel Road in collaboration with Artsadmin and the Live Art Development Agency. In this residency, the falafel will be used as a contested national symbol in the Near East and its diasporic manifestations. The residency will include meals at twenty different falafel eateries across London, including three very special meals being held at Iniva on the 13th, the Serpentine Gallery on the 23rd and at Artsadmin on the 25th February. The residency is part of Chapter 4: Orientalism" of Ashery and Sansour's graphic novel "The Novel of Nonel and Vovel" (Charta, 2009).
