Testing Ground: Live at 176 brings together a diverse array of performances by various artists for the last weekend of the second annual Testing Ground event at 176 Project Space. The space provides an apt arena for an investigation into live art and encourages activity and performance. This is also evident in the way the site's theatrical architecture has shaped the development of its dynamic history and has encouraged the project space to host a second event solely dedicated to the practice of Live Art. Curating students from Goldsmiths College and the Royal College of Art have been invited to organise a live weekend. The event will contain a multitude of contrasting performances. Ranging from durational and experimental to the ephemeral, documented and some responsive to the space. Artists will be asked to explore their own practice in front of a live audience and develop their work through the relationship they achieve with the spectator.
