About

This experimental one-day workshop presents a contemporary take on the traditional life class. It incorporates hi- and low-tech digital media and performance to create an inspiring visual experience, presenting the life model in a completely new way. Images of the life model will be digitally manipulated and projected in real time using basic analogue techniques, distortion and live film. Participants will respond creatively to their environment using experimental drawing techniques such as drawing and collage as well as analogue imagery such as printed and photocopied images. The resulting workshop is a radically new presentation of the life model seen from a completely new angle, every heart beat and movement amplified. The emphasis throughout the day is on experimentation and imagination. No technical knowledge is required. All levels of ability are welcome. Saturday 6 February 2010 10.30-4.30pm Tate Modern East Room £65 (£45 concessions) Places are limited- booking early is recommended Price includes refreshments For more information and booking: 2010 dates are now booking on the Tate website, please go to the link below for more info and booking.
