About

Launching our programme of exhibitions and events to celebrate 40 years at Edinburgh Printmakers, this fascinating exhibition of prints is accompanied by a short film, photographs and archive materials offering a rare opportunity to see what was happening in the studio from 1967 to 1987.

This exhibition will feature groundbreaking prints by key artists using the studio in the early years and also include works published by Edinburgh Printmakers with well-known Scottish artists such as John Bellany, Peter Howson and William Johnstone.

Edinburgh Printmakers was founded in 1967 as a non-profit distributing company and was the very first open-access print studio in Scotland and amongst the first in the UK. For 40 years we have provided equipment and expertise to support artists and are recognised as an international leader in and pioneer of innovative contemporary printmaking practices.
