Please note that this exhibition is taken place at 22 Bardsley Lane, Greenwich SE10 and not at BEARSPACE in Deptford. In this series of new paintings, Jonathan has continued in his exploration of the contemporary landscape, using his own holiday photos, domestic and local scenes, found journalistic images, and scenes remembered from dream. This exhibition of Jonathan Purday's recent paintings includes 'Car Park 7' viewed as an oblique comment on the ways beauty spots are 'groomed' for maximum tourist revenue return. Willie Lott's cottage (2006) a miniature painted on location at Flatford. The scene comprises a detail from Constable's Haywain.
