NO MORE

About

Radical Relations (part II) No More is the second of three exhibitions at The Island focusing on collaborative - relational practices. The three exhibitions, collectively named Radical Relations may be associated to one another for their similar process of describing a tension between actions and movements of affinity and distance. No More is a work composed by various pieces (videos, photographs, audio-installations and objects) as a result of the affinity among people related to each other in their life. None of the elements that constitute this work have been combined following a prior project. The topics involved are —by chance or not- the most pleasant and the most dreadful ones that can affect anyone's life. No More is also the title of a noise piece featured within this project, recorded by sound artist Atrax Morgue, who, not long after creating this piece, committed suicide. The three exhibitions Radical Relations are a designed as a single art project and developed by Robert Vincent for The Island, and will take place between September 2009 and January 2010. Robert Vincent is a project started in 2004, in which afterward various people collaborate from many different cultural realms and backgrounds, collectively taking part in the development of a proposed or planned piece of work or piece of research. Robert Vincent is continually shape-shifting, expanding and contracting its nucleus of collaborations, based on each work ultimate needs. It has been operating internationally, showing in group exhibitions and carrying out independent initiatives.
